Create more and longer-term financing options for walkable developments that encourage the built environment to be built for the long-term.

The needs of small town America needs to be addressed. We have a mixed use building with 4 furnished apartments and a cafe. We require a very small balance mortgage and would prefer a longer term than 10 years. Banks aren't lending on this kind of venture. We need help now!

Many of the inititiaves proposed can be addressed with better mixed use development. Walkable communities can be built. Public transportation can be managable. A sense of community can be re/established. And, affordable housing can spread out throughout the community so that it does not create blight. Many issues can be addressed by mixed-use/higher density development.
