End the Drug War
Our decades-long, draconian “war against drugs” has overflowed our prisons with non-violent offenders, cost us hundreds of billions of public dollars, destroyed countless lives, fueled corruption and misery in both the US and nations where the drugs originate, vastly increased drug production and the number of people involved in drug sales, and has been ineffective in reducing domestic drug use. Prohibition failed for alcohol, and is similarly failing for (other) drugs today.
